“’Twas the Night Before Easter” tells the story of Easter time in Crisper County. Ms. Meade is hunting for a way to help others. On a tip that the old town theater will be shut down, she cooks up a plan to save the stage and make a difference through the power of musical theater. With a cast of costume-clad townies, massive props and a 20-foot robot rabbit, “Up With Bunnies” is hatched. There’s only one thing missing—the star of the show!

When news spreads that singing sensation Cassie Cassava (voiced by American Idol top finalist Melinda Doolittle) is arriving to perform in her hometown church’s Easter service, Marlee gets worried. Concerned about the competition, she schemes to steal the starlet for her own pageant! But when things go haywire, will it be curtains for Marlee’s dreams? Or will she discover the true meaning of Easter?

WNZR’s PTLIF Party will include an all-you-can-eat buffet of hot dogs, nachos and drinks plus prize giveaways including CDs, books, restaurant gift certificates and t-shirts. Guests will also be registered to win the “Unplug and Reconnect Spring Break” Package to CoCo Key Water Resort at Cherry Valley Lodge. The package includes an overnight stay at Cherry Valley Lodge, four passes to CoCo Key Water Resort, an old fashioned family board game (such as Candy Land, Life and other favorites), two kids’ souvenir t-shirts and two $5 arcade cards.

Tickets are $4 for all ages and can be purchased at Gospel Supply Shop (117 S. Main St., Mount Vernon) or at the WNZR studios (800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon). Tickets will also be available at the door on Friday, March 11. All proceeds from this event support Lifeline 2011 and the station’s radio ministry.
