The Church Relations office is staffed by Mike Williams, Director; Tom Duncan Assistant Director; and Trinia Huddleston, Church Relations Coordinator.

Mike is a 1977 graduate of MVNU and an elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He has served as a pastor of urban and rural congregations in Florida, Ohio, and Illinois.  His pastoral experience includes being a church planter and as lead pastor in multiple staff settings. He has a range of experience at the district leadership level and in various civic organizations of the communities he served as pastor.

His primary responsibility is to oversee the Church Leadership Network which works with local church pastors and lay leaders on the MVNU region to help them be more intentional in fulfilling their mission.  His roles include on-site consultations for churches, and as a church health coach for pastors. He has also worked with Outreach, Inc. of San Diego, Calif., to provide training for churches from various denominations and has provided corporate leadership training for Honda of America.

Williams and his wife, Kenna, reside in Mount Vernon, Ohio. They have two children: Ben, a 2001 alumnus of MVNU who lives in North Carolina with his wife Elliot, and Angela, a student at Olivet Nazarene University.

 

Tom Duncan, Assistant Church Relations Director, ext. 4112 tduncan@mvnu.edu 

Tom is a 1988 graduate of MVNU and an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. He was a youth pastor for 19 years in Ohio & Tennessee before accepting this position in July of 2006. He also led worship most of those years, as well as filled various administrative roles.

Some of Tom's key roles in Church Relations are: administrating the Institute for 21st Century Church Leadership; directing the annual MVNU Region Clergy Kid's retreat; and serving as editor of the Pastor's Link.

Tom and his wife, April, reside in Mount Vernon, Ohio. They have two children: Tyler and Alysa, both students at the Mount Vernon High School.

Trinia Huddleston, Church Relations Coordinator, ext. 4110 thuddles@mvnu.edu 

Trinia is a 1998 graduate of MVNU. She has served MVNU in the Special Events, Communications, Alumni Relations departments and Marketing departments.

Some of Trinia’s roles in Church Relations include: organizing and facilitating all Church Leadership events and many Church Relations events, and providing support for the Director of Church Relations.

Trinia and her husband, Joe, reside in Mount Vernon.
