The study of sociology specializes in exploring human social relationships in a very broad context—from the study of two-person groups to comparisons of whole societies.

In MVNU’s sociology program, you will discover and explain social relationships through scientific methodology. At the same time, faculty will help you to understand the importance of cultural values and perspectives, while promoting a distinctly Christian worldview of individuals and societies.

A degree in sociology is excellent preparation for a variety of areas of professional interest that will allow you to explore God’s creation in a way that facilitates a greater understanding of service and care for others. Sociology students have the option to choose one of three tracks: community development, criminal justice, and general sociology.
