Committee Responsibilities
1. Link Student learning outcomes to the University's mission,
goals and objectives.
2. Establish a timetable for administering the various assessment
instruments selected by the committee, and work with the Coordinator
to publicize these dates.
3. Approve all methods of assessing student learning outcomes
as may be proposed by various departments.
4. Review the results of all assessment instruments administered
to students, and provide an analysis of the results with appropriate
recommendations to departments and the General Education Committee.
5. Develop a plan for educating and informing the faculty,
administration and students of the purposes and outcomes of student
assessment.
6. Recommend strategies for improving student learning.
7. Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the student
learning outcomes assessment program.
